Hope I live to see every day North Koreans with access to an abundant food supply and modern medication and the knowledge that it came from everyday Americans.

I agree. I know I am being naive, but Kim Jong Un has a singular opportunity to achieve Korean unification and to bring his people out of an awful place. A denuclearized Korean federation with northern autonomy but an Asian/capitalist economy would be a nice beginning. See, East Germany 1989.

Why not?

Real integration of Norkea into Korea Entire would be a much heavier drag on the South Korean economy than East Germany was on the West German economy. Real integration has to be delayed for a full generation to bring the northerners up to par educationally and especially nutritionally with the southerners first.
