I can see that the Left would want enough time for this to subside before November.
They will want to portray any efforts to prosecute actual criminal acts by Democrats as a partisan witch hunt and it may be difficult to do so while they’re still engaged in an actual partisan witch hunt.

If Hillary Clinton couldn’t be president then, they (the Clintons and their minions) were going to blow it all up. Everything. There was not going to be anything to be the president of, and whatever remained, would be ungovernable.
That is a nutshell is what the Clintons wanted. Blow up everything, destroy the FBI, and thus any charges leveled by the corrupted FBI and DOJ, against Hillary would have almost no credence.
