I saw it brought up last year in the German news....the number of intern/apprentice positions relating to kids and states.
Down in Bavaria, for every hundred apprentice slots that were coming up each year...they only had around 95 kids who could apply...meaning five slots went unfilled. Up in North Rhineland Westphalia, for every hundred apprentice slots, they had around 135 kids...meaning thirty-five kids would not get an apprentice position. You would think that they’d realize this imbalance in state job potential and just offer some program to move kids south into Bavaria or around to better German states. But no....that was not going to be discussed. Same issue exists with all these migrants who were sent into the upper NW as well, and their job prospects are dismal.
