‘I Don’t Get Confused,’ Nikki Haley Says, Rebuffing White House in Sanctions Dispute

WEST PALM BEACH FLORIDA-Nikki R. Haley, the ambassador to the United Nations, fired back at the White House on Tuesday, denying that she had been confused when she announced on Sunday that the Trump administration would impose new sanctions on Russia.

"With all due respect, I don't get confused," she told Dana Perino of Fox News.

She was responding to a comment earlier in the day by Larry Kudlow, the president's new economic advisor who was briefing reporters in Florida before President Trump's meeting with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan.

"She got ahead of the curve,” Mr. Kudlow said. “She’s done a great job. She’s a very effective ambassador, but there might have been some momentary confusion about that.”

On Monday, White House officials said Mr. Trump had not yet decided whether to impose sanctions on Russian companies found to be assisting Syria’s chemical weapons program. That contradicted Ms. Haley, who had said a day earlier that the president would take that step.

Mr. Kudlow was the first senior White House official to place the blame directly on Ms. Haley...

I get that she would be someone who wants the expression “bossy woman” banned.

Me either. She’s really an arrogant little thing. I think she is definitely confused (about who the President is).

Don’t blame Kudlow for the comment. He’s an opinionated media personality — nonetheless, it wasn’t appropriate.

Can’t stand this bitch. When she speaks, it’s like nails down the chalkboard.

The only good that came out of her U.N. appointment was that South Carolina finally got a good conservative governor.

Good chance one of the “messengers” Trump used got too cute with the way info was passed along. Haley seems to stay solidly behind whatever Trump wants to say/do.

I agree, Nikki is a great asset to the administration. She is not to be messed with and was a valued governor of our state.

I really liked how she told the UN off. I hope she is not going off the reservation.

I was being tolerant of her up to this point. But, by her firing back at The White House publically, it should be addressed immediately by her apologizing. Don’t give the opposition any fuel for the fire, she should know that. The Chief of Staff should be doing a little better keeping people on the same page.
