Gun sales at Dick’s had slowed down due primarily their gun prices. Note too that only the “semi-automatic” assault type rifles are when they are supposedly going to destroy. (Read that in another article earlier), so the author used the headline to indicate ALL weapons, not JUST semi-auto. I never cared to do business with them anyway.
It looks like Dick’s Sporting Goods is going down the same path as Kmart did. Reactionary, and without much thought, they are limiting one of the draws to get some people into their stores. A lot of men will go to the gun display just to look around while their wives shop. They may not buy anything, but they are there and so are their wives. I started to notice a drop in the amount of people in the Kmart stores when they started dropping gun sales. Over the years, it got progressively worse. I don’t suppose Dick’s Sporting Goods will rethink their actions though.

Never once have I thought, “gosh, it’s the same subject I read about this morning. Somebody needs to stop this duplication!” Not once. Most times, even if it was a duplication, I never saw the first article so it is all new to me. Thanks for posting and don’t let self-appointed internet cops stop you. (Same thing with blogs. If it was worth reading I don’t care if it was a self-posting. Life is too short to be concerned with somebody else may be making a buck...this must stop!) Sigh.

One has to ask...”What’s the big deal?” The firearms have already been paid for... the manufacturer’s got their money... and it created a need to make more firearms to be sold by a respectable sporting goods store or firearms dealership. Sounds like a win-win situation to me. For Dick’s, it accomplished lower profits, less floor traffic, and a certain disdain for their business by former customers.
NOTICE: All wanna be robber types you will find a safe working environment inside a Dicks store. They chopped up all their guns. All the God Fearin, honest people who are allowed to buy and own weapons are out shopping someplace else.
We understand why you wear a hoodie when you come in here. It’s chilly due to all the snowflakes.
If I were a shareholder I’d sue... but I knew better years ago.

I quit shopping at Dicks when they did the 1st phony “assault weapons” ban. All of my shopping will be at Cabelas or Outdoor Warehouse. Dickies and the rest of their politically correct ilk can cater to their gay millennial clientel!
Academy has better selection and prices anyway. They also aren’t cratering to lib hand wringers. Dicks didn’t last long in my town either.

Just plain silly. I don’t shop at Dick’s but won’t ever do business with stupid.
They should stop carrying knives, too, since humans in the UK are being killed with them.

Just like Sports Authority, Dicks will go out of bidness over this.
After Sports Authority stopped dealing with firearms I NEVER went in one again.
Dicks will NEVER see me cross their threshold again and they can kiss my rear.
