IRS needs to be abolished and many of its administrators thrown in prison with no pension and hefty fines. POTUS Trump and the MAJORITY GOP was the last hope that this could possibly occur. As we know now, it will never happen. The Left always has the last laugh while giving America the finger.
If everybody filed a paper return that was filled out by hand they would all quit and we would be much better off without these parasites.
This is the weird part to me. If you don’t like a particular part of the government, you want to make it as difficult as possible to do their job.

Ya, well when the IRS doesn’t cash the check for your quarterly payment, its nice to have the record that they received it....

I guess the jokes on you then because when you use a credit card to pay for postage at the Post Office you get an itemized and time stamped receipt which is all that’s required to demonstrate you filed before the deadline.

I admit I was completely flummoxed when I went to check my PO Box this AM < 9:00 AM and there was a LOOOOOOOOONNNNG line at 8:45 AM.
You beat the statute of limitations by one day. Just did a 2014 1040x for someone yesterday for the same reason.
IRS having access to my account is why I don’t direct pay. I use payusatax.com. Costs $2.58 but that’s nothing compared to what we owed. Lol

Sure is nice to live rural. I needed to send a Priority envelope today to get an advertisement in before deadline.
I was all ALONE in the local P O at 11:46 AM.
They are now back up and running.
My wife handled selling her mom's house, and filing of taxes on the capital gains this month. Hundreds of thousands in taxes. They wanted it e-filed, and suggested using a credit card. Huh? Had to wire the funds from a bank. Who has credit cards that can charge hundreds of thousands?
Sooooo happy got mine done a month ago and already have my refunds in hand... not happy about getting so much back due to lost interest, but ecstatic it was so much. Think I forgot to account for the youngest starting college.
Back down again... filing season extended until tomorrow midnight.
That is real funny. I played it a few times and sent it to friends in the office.

Ended up mailing a cashier’s check by certified mail. Won’t use those third party payment sites
