“..its citizens...”
This reminds me of an article earlier today which argued we are engaged in a culture war. The proponent immediately began to talk in terms of "left" and "right" and not once discussed cultural differences. WTH wasn't that headline, "We are engaged in a political war."?
Here the author also ducks the issue: so long as the U.S. Constitution and its various principles are honored there is a single principled path, not two contradictory, bipartisan paths. A second path exists only to the extent we concede to the liberals.
Likewise, there are "two competing economic systems" only to the extent we concede to the liberals.
Require all owner occupied homes with 2 or more bedrooms not occupied by the owners to take in a homeless person.
It reminds me of a gamer I met who had this plan that the enlightened people like himself would begin to selectively break laws and ramp up to terrorism in order to control the rest of society. I pointed out that his assumption that everyone would go along with his plan was flawed because most people are only going along at present because stability lets them accomplish much of what they want to do. Take that away and all bets are off.
This bunch seems to be of the opinion that the Latin American people are going to go along with all of this (because, yeah, they are going to just stay put like that, uh huh!). I say not so much. You will reach a tipping point, particularly in the absence of Federal authority and the army that backs it up.
This is a recipe for a bunch of skinny white guys to end up twisting in the wind from various light poles. They aren’t dealing with who they think they are. Hannibal’s descendants live in Latin America!
Perfecto.
The argument was they did not hold a sufficient stake in the community to be very much interested in determining its future; and, they could be gone tomorrow.
There was also a point about it being much easier to identify a voter's right to vote in local matters simply by reference to the local registry of deeds.
The article, by Peter Leyden and Ruy Teixeira, is one entry in a lengthy four-part series called California Is the Future, and it posits that there is no bipartisan path forward for America.
IOW...
Tomorrow belongs to me (Cabaret)
The “NEW” and modern IT..!
:”)
It's funny how the left are exactly what they hate most... And they can't see it... That's why they defecate on everything they own.. Even their own bodies... Self loathing...
But, I can see their point... I too think they stink..!!
Oscar Wilde said something similar!
It featured Lieawatha Warren saying that this Moron would fight Trump and push for Medicare for all. Then they had our imbecilic new Senator Kamala (loved her some Willie Brown's brown willie) Harris talking about the Moron protecting a Woman's Right to choose to kill her Children.
The closing shot, the Moronic Democrat Woman and her two Children having a Family moment. The ones she chose to let live that is.
Since OC went off the deep end Voting for the Hildebeast in 2016, I have no illusions about the future of this once great State.
Which is why the saying “Vote in your self interest” infuriates me. Property Owners have a vested interest. Those who have nothing in the game only fuel the Tyranny of the Majority.
To Liberals, Voting for someone who will use the power of Government to take another’s Property and give it to them is fine and dandy.
Try explaining to a Liberal that the Government has no money of its own and it only operates by confiscating money from the working Population. Deer in Headlights is all you will get.
