China also has designs on the U.S. I saw a Chinese General on TV say they could wipe everything and everyone out in the U.S. with their chemical weapons, which would dissipate in a few months, and then use this country to raise their cattle. That is their mindset.

I think that's the whole point. Nobody wants actual war or victory anymore except abosolutist groups like ISIA. Trump campaigned to defeat ISIS. While he certainly stepped up the fight against ISIS with better rules of engagement, there's not much hope for a permanent victory. We have tlo be satisfied with symbols these days.
Yes, Trump should shut up, get off Twitter and allow the fake news media to shape the narrative about his administration.

Excuse me, but I never said get off Twitter. I merely said let this play out before he tweets his mouth off with mission accomplished a la George Bush. That’s not the mission. The military did what they were told and took no casualties, hit all targets. Literally the definition of mission accomplished. I am disappointed in the action bit at least it sets a clear picture of when the U.S will act. That is how you establish a red line. In the end this is a safe way to do things because it’s been well defined between the two actions
