Sad thing is that did anyone learn form the Bush years that getting more involved in the middle east is not worth it, I think even some Freepers are not getting it, unless syria threatens the US stay the hell out of it, let them kill each other, not one more boot in that world dammit.
Yea, pretty sickening. I remember all during the Reagan years being told by the Left that Republicans are a bunch of WAR MONGERS. I used to get really angry hearing it.
But it seems that they were right, at least regarding some of the Neocons here.
This goes back at least to the end of WW1 and the Sykes-Picot Treaty. France and Britain carved up the Middle East without regard to historical boundaries religious affiliations or tribal and family bonds. There will never be peace over there unless or until someone can unravel that Gordian Knot. We need to stay out of there.
