Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley said Thursday Democrats are delaying a bill to protect special counsel Robert Mueller in the event that President Trump moved to fire him.

Mr. Grassley said he had wanted to put the bill, introduced this week, on the agenda Thursday, which would set it up for a vote next week. But top committee Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein objected, which Mr. Grassley said will delay getting it done.

This is a high priority for Grassley I guess.

Not approving nominees for open positions or dealing with foreign policy issues.

Has anyone asked snake in the grass grassley what he thinks of mueller searching Trumps lawyer’s hotel, home and office? What with the msm being so fair and thorough after all.

This is amazing, having a Judiciary Committee Chairman backing infringement of the Chief Executive's ability to hire and fire personnel in the executive branch. On the other hand Grassley is not a lawyer, and may not understand the Constitution, and the separation of powers it embodies.

Time for Grassley to retire.
As another poster said, why waste time on this nonsense
when Judges need to be approved.

It’s hard to tell what’s going on here. Is Grassley trying to protect Trump or betray him?

And if Trump refuses to sign it? That will set off a whole new round of media frenzy.

President Trump you need to do some rallies and get out into the country where people support you! These swamp alligators need to be left to feast on themselves!

This is just a ditional circumstantial proof of what I thought for a very long time.

A number of the Trump moves are a result of threats by Republicans to impeach him.

He is walking a very narrow line

Trump was not supposed to have won. All these gutless little people were expecting to serve willingly under queen illary.

Now their pathetic little club is being exposed.

I think he’s protecting him. The Dems want him to fire Mueller so that they can stir up more stink.

Early life and career

Grassley represented parts of Butler County in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1959 until 1975.[5] He then served in the United States House of Representatives from 1975 to 1981.[6]

The priority needs to be to stop/recover payment for unauthorized work.

The past her prime porn star isn’t/wasn’t a Russian agent.

The Playboy bunny isn’t a Russian government employee.

How about dealing with some of the judicial nominees and Trump appointments.

Why do I feel that that the title should be just the opposite. Why do we want to prolong this stupidity and waste of taxpayer money?
