I was ~ 12 when I saw Threads (on PBS of all places). That jingle, to this DAY, freaks me out.
I had it as a ringtone on my phone for my wife for a while. I might have to start using it again.

I don’t think the danger is in the Med— it’s that Putin will respond militarily where he has more advantage, like the Baltics.
Doubtful since that guarantees the Ukrainians anything they want on their ordnance shopping list.

We have 5 Arleigh Burke destroyers off Syria with state of the art SAM systems.
They have Soviet era planes with unguided bombs.
