I can’t believe we are going down this path. Unthinkable. The US has no interest in Syria. Yet we are back to the tried and true “(Insert bad guy name here) is killing innocents!” and Russia and Iran are also somehow involved. Same old thing. It’s embarassing and shallow. It’s a total fabrication. Please, Trump, trust your instincts and get out of Syria now. Do not risk a nuclear war over some photos which are likely staged. It doesn’t matter if innocents were killed or even how they were killed. Or by whom. Nope. Doesn’t matter. We have no interest whatsoever in Syria. Leave now.
Oops. President Trump should not be shooting from the lip in situations like this. It makes no sense that Assad, Russia, or those that support them are involved.

I thought until yesterday that President Trump has good instincts. But with this situation? First, he announced he was pulling out of Syria. He in his campaign said he'd never show his hand. Then his knee-jerk response is to blame Syria and Russia for a situation that works against them?
Another thing. The US used to pretend we only had observers in Syria. Now it's accepted that we have military illegally having invaded a sovereign nation, one that has never attacked us.
Wrong.
We have special ops in there to fight ISIS. We have lived up to our part of that equeation, “we will go after terrorists, anywhere”
Russia and Syria have violated the demarcation line, which both the Russians and US agreed to.
Now, Syria has used chem weapons again, obviously with Putin’s approval. They keep testing Trump. Syria will pay a price again.
“We need to pay attention to our interests. The best thing for America would be for Assad to win that war quickly. Anything that interferes with a quick Assad victory harms America.”
Finally, some sanity.
That is the ONLY interest the US has in Syria. Everything else is emotionally driven.
Hmmm so, our best ally om the area, Israel has two huge enemies in Iran and Syria in the area...
Russia has made it clear they are still fighting the Cold War they lost, with their tin pot dictator tactics...so...
the US has its key ally’s with 2 direct enemies involved and the US has Russia involved, not to mention our security interests in the area destabiilzed...
The US does have national security interests here: ISIS, Iran, Syria and Russia.
There is no proof Syria did that.
