Trump transition team official and Breitbart News contributor Robert Wasinger had some harsh words for certain Trump administration officials on SiriusXMs Breitbart News Saturday. Talking with Breitbart News Washington Political Editor Matt Boyle and Deputy Political Editor Amanda House, Wasinger continued his campaign against the establishment and NeverTrump elements he sees as locking out actual Trump supporters who worked to get Donald Trump elected president from getting jobs in the administration.
LISTEN:
Wasinger, who helped craft the transition, especially in the State Department, has been frustrated by the lack of progress in staffing the administration, particularly in so-called Schedule C positions, with Trump loyalists. In his view, officials unfriendly to the original Trump agenda are largely to blame.
One target of Wasingers ire was State Department Senior Policy Adviser Brian Hook, a Rex Tillerson ally with a reputation of being fiercely critical of the populist-nationalist politics that swept Donald Trump into the White House.
One person that was appointed in policy and planning was a guy named Brian Hook, he told Boyle and House. He is firmly committed at least what he tells people in the building to renewing the Iran nuclear deal. And I cant find anyone in the White House who shares that view.
Before he came to the administration, he founded the [John] Hay [Initiative], which instituted a NeverTrump letter that went out that was signed by a lot of people, Wasinger noted. He didnt sign it, but hes there pushing these agenda items that are completely at odds with what the president campaigned on and what the president wants to do.

For me, the biggest mystery of Trumps administration has been why he didnt aggressively root out all of those that are actively against him from the beginning.
Trump was not a swamp creature and didn’t hang around with them. Thus he has been unable to rapidly retire the enemies of his administration. Expect some major personnel changes now that Pompeo is SecState.
Clean out the RAT nest.
Remember all of the post-election speculation that was going on about how they were going to get electors to 'flip' against Trump and refuse to certify his election? It was very distracting, and I think he was 'guided' to pick the people he did in order to circumvent a coup attempt. Not that he knew they were backstabbing deep state scum at the time. He probably thought they were on his general side, and that he'd 'win them over' on a personal level and/or deal with them later.
The old adage that 'those who can - do, and those who can't - teach' is not applicable to many things, and should be replaced with 'those who can - do, and those who can't often use backstabbing and political deceit to install themselves in positions of power over those who can'.
Because Trump understands that good decisions require a multitude of voices, not just "yes" men and an echo chamber. He needs to hear from the opposition too.
It was clear from early on that Candidate Trump was going to rely on the Council on Foreign Relations/Goldman-Sachs pool of potential appointees.
An outsider from a business CEO background is going to ask around for who the experts are, and the CFR/G-S names always came up. Hopefully, multiple bitten, multiple shy.
I don’t recall Candidate Trump having relied on Pat Buchanan or Ron/Rand Paul for advice.
Same here.
Can anyone tell me the benefits of the Iran deal?
When a psychotic religious state that has executed children and calls for the death of every Jew and every American, is allowed to have nuclear weapons in 10 short years, why is that a good thing? These animals can never get nuclear weapons, never. Trump is right as rain on Iran.
Swamp bump for later.....
>> He needs to hear from the opposition too <<
No dissent is to be allowed. Get over it.
Typical Breitbart “click bait” headline. Looks as if some things never change.
Specifically, the article only mentions three unknown mid-level employees at the State Department, nothing more.
Big deal? No way. Just a waste of my time to read the item.
You must be thinking about the previous administration. Prancing Barry only wanted to hear agreement. That never leads to anything good.
