McVain is an idiot. Assad would have far LESS reason to launch a CW attack now, when he may be hoping for the US to end its involvement.
The people who have an OBVIOUS incentive to try to further embroil the US right now are the pro-jihad anti-Assad forces.
Unless and until there is conclusive evidence of any involvement of Assad’s forces, we ought to suspect a “false flag” CW attack was used to try to get the US to strike Assad.
