China will not hesitate with 'major response' to new tariffs: Ministry of Commerce

If the U.S. goes through with an additional $100 billion in tariffs, China will not hesitate to fight back and is already prepared to, the Ministry of Commerce said.

"We will immediately fight back with a major response," the representative said during a Chinese-language briefing with reporters Friday in Beijing. "We have no other choice."

"We feel America is very arrogant. They have taken a wrong action. The result is that they will hurt themselves. If they release the list of $100 billion tariffs, China is prepared. And will not hesitate," he added.

U.S. President Donald Trump said late Thursday he instructed the United States Trade Representative to consider $100 billion in additional tariffs against China. Stock index futures fell sharply after the news, with Dow futures off more than 200 points, on fears of retaliation by China.

"We believe this is a battle between unilateralism and multilateralism, a fight between protectionism and free trade," the Chinese Ministry of Commerce representative said. "This is not good for China, or the world. Facing this serious problem, we must fight resolutely."

"We believe this is a battle between unilateralism and multilateralism, a fight between protectionism and free trade,"

The American Free Traitors believe the very same thing.

I believe POTUS knows to things:

1. Now that we've engaged the battle, we must prevail. To back down now is suicidal.

2. It's now, or never.

If the Russians were still considered communist by the American Left do you think they’d be upset about them interfering?

Agreed.

This battle would have happened in the future only China would have initiated it when the US was a lot weaker 5 - 10 years down the road and when we had no leverage. We have been fools and this is a wake up call.

We were already in a trade war, except we weren’t fighting, we were just rolling over and spreading our legs.

We do 50, they do 50.

We do 100, they do 100.

Then the Chinese are out of US imports to tax, and we have 100’s more of their’s to go. The next step after a hundred billion should be a hundred percent.

Fight to win - No half-stepping. It is now or never.

MAGA!

The Soviet Union was driven into bankruptcy by the “Star Wars” initiative under Ronaldus Magnus, by trying to “keep up” with the economic costs of trying to modernize their military arsenal to resist these new advances in US military technology. They literally drove their own economy (and Communist systems DO have an economy) down into extinction.

If China wants a “trade war”, then they may very well drive their own economy into the same or similar abyss.

The Chinese need the US much more than the US needs China.

Others may call it a “bluff hand”, but Donald J. Trump knows when he is holding the high cards.

Eyeball to eyeball. Make the other guy blink first.

China could make all this go away in a minute. Just call off Kim Jong Un and enforce the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

China has a MASSIVE amount to lose.

Huge. We have already given them a (lot) of what used to be America’s.

But now it’s on. Stand up for America. Everyone has been selling stuff out, to China, for the entire last generation. Both parties. Everyone.

We need to build up AMERICA once again.

It’s not just high tech, mfg. and commodities that China steals.

An example of China’s ‘Trade” Policy:

Chinese scientist gets 10 years for swiping GMO rice in AG espionage.

I have Nvidia stock. It was at $250 in March. Today at $217
In January it was at $200 so still ahead but March was a bad month due to this trade war.

I think that is completely right.

$150,000,000,000 now they’re taxing everything we export to them.

That is a tiny portion of what they send to us.

We import $375,000,000,000 from them.

Trump. Now is the time.

The left and communism have more alike than different. To not believe the leaders in Russia are not hard line communist is just wishful thinking.

If the US stopped shipping food products to China, it wouldn’t take long before things changed on their end. They import a lot of food.
