pretty much everything USAID is involved in is a scandal
it’s so obviously an intel agency front it fools no one anymore anyway, time to shut it down
I’ve dealt with them, firsthand, in Iraq. Driving them around Baghdad, listening to them brag about giving away taxpayer dollars for the BS, liberal dreams to make Iraq a better place.
But, I find it hard to believe that it’s a front for intel collection. I know not every spy is James Bond or Jason Bourne, but what I saw from them, I’m not so sure. That is, unless they’re taught in spy school how to present themselves as the most radical, liberal, socialist, progressive, homosexual, hipster, drunk, pill popping, degenerate, who makes no secret about their loathing of the United States, hiding behind the veil of USAID and the US Dept of State. Which, seemed to me, to be nothing more than a place where former State Dept employees, future State Dept employees, and their Contractor friends, could live off the taxpayer dime, spend their days and nights getting drunk, working deals for their friends and getting some nice kickbacks, and pretty much doing nothing worthwhile.
