Thousands of Oklahoma teachers walked out of school Monday and protested at the state capitol for higher salaries and increased funding.

Oklahoma legislators approved a $6,100 raise for state teachers across the board in an attempt to evade the walk-out, but teachers proceeded with the protest, NBC News reported.

“My son in ninth grade had to get an override on his schedule because his Spanish class was too full … he was student number 41 in the class. As a state, we have failed them.”

I DO appreciate what teachers go through these days. Bu tI have been waiting for someone to point out that they only work 9 months of the year. And get every school break in those nine months, too. Flame away, Freeper teachers.

“My niece sits on the floor in her middle school English class in Moore, Oklahoma, because they’re overloaded into the class and don’t have enough furniture,”... “My son in ninth grade had to get an override on his schedule because his Spanish class was too full...

Seems that both problems are caused by having no immigration control.

Here’s an English grammar lesson:

“Union” is an adjectival modifier for the noun word “thug”.

Get rid of the illegal aliens and the classrooms won’t be so crowded.
Ending bi-lingual education frees up more money to use for US students.

How much better would they do if all illegal aliens were booted out of the state?

Khanacademy.com is never overcrowded.

Public schools today are such a ridiculous waste of time, money and resources. But at least it’s free day care so mommy and daddy can raise a family in a culture where it is virtually required that they both work to make ends meet.

We live in a comfortable prison.

Yep..and look at peoples’ real estate tax bills. It’s a crime having to pay ANYTHING for kids who are here illegally

And get rid of “birthright citizenship” Talk about something that’s obsolete

and abused by many

They certainly could get rid of 90% of the staff of the School Districts and not miss a beat.

That's my take as well. They can't teach American students because they are overwhelmed with third world invaders who do not speak English.

“Stack ‘em deep, teach ‘em cheap.”

That was the caption on one of the signs a “teacher” was holding up.
