Somewhere between 10-20% of women never have children before menopause. If what you're saying were true, we'd have an epidemic of millions of childless women shooting up places over some imagined slight, as opposed to keeping innumerable cats or joining book clubs.

This woman wasn't made a nutjob by childlessness. She was most likely (and thankfully) childless by virtue of being a nutcase.

There’s no need for them to shoot up places; most concerned take it out in many other negative ways than that. Child abuse, drug abuse, emotional abuse, self harm, exposure to STDs, and domestic violence are among the other consequences of such behavior.

As for your last sentence, I would agree that this case applies just as much as the other way around.
