“Do the politicians ever think about that? “....

Perhaps you should have asked, “Do politicians ever think?”

It’s none of the government’s business.

This also highlights why it is important not to have a monolythic government. Governments have to consider the outcome of taxing an item that people can drive a short distance to another tax district to avoid. When the tax applies to a wide swath like the UN or US, the people have less choice, and the government can get away with quite draconian antics.

I now see the US as the old USSR. However, history doesn’t repeat exactly. The draconian “drag you off to siberia” methods can’t work. It’s just done in more subtle, but just as damaging ways. The businesses getting raided for “structuring” is a good example of this.

People don’t realize just how wicked the IRS truly is. They also don’t really understand just how many Americans are “in trouble with the IRS” or have been.

And when you pay many hundreds of dollars per month in taxes on an average home, you don’t own your property. You rent it from the government. And they get away with it.

These taxing politicians are missing a trick.

They need to have ordered small cashboxes to be installed on every bed In the kingdom. Each act (of any kind) resulting in at least one orgasm, would require one dollar to be deposited into the box.

The obvious and necessary for enforcement cameras and vibration detectors and audio listening devices would guarantee compliance.

This could easily far outstrip any other small tax they might impose. Considering the vast revenues possible, the small amount of privacy lost would be a small price to pay for such a boon to the tax coffers.

If they did away with needless programs, they might have plenty of money without extra taxes. Soda is something you CAN live without.

Social engineering, the weapon of choice for totalitarianism. So much for life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. We the political elite will dictate everything you eat, what you do, and what you hear. To bad they can’t control what you think but they’re trying. Changing education system system to indoctrination system.
