The U.S. military cannot be used against U.S. citizens, according the Posse Comitatus Act. There is no restriction on using them against foreign invaders on U.S. territory.

The U.S. military cannot be used against U.S. citizens, according the Posse Comitatus Act.

That act is a complete farce, a piece of feel-good law that is essentially nothing (WRT the common-knowledge that the Army can't be used domesticallt):
Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

Whereas Art 4, Sec 4 says:
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence.
and Art 1, Sec 8, Cl 15:
To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

See: 18 U.S. Code § 1385 - Use of Army and Air Force as posse comitatus

I wonder how many progressives will mix in with the invaders to serve as human shields, and how many times we'll have to say "oops!" when they become casualties.

That is kind of the whole point of having an army. But I am not a leftist so what do I know.

The U.S. military cannot be used against U.S. citizens, according the Posse Comitatus Act.

Exception: 10 U.S. Code § 332

§332. Use of militia and armed forces to enforce Federal authority

Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion.

Something that the "sanctuary state" of California should keep in mind.

I'm glad Trump is using the military to protect America from the invasion of foreign socialist hordes.

Lincoln used the military to burn American civilian citizens homes and farms .

But that's ok with the media because they were white Christian non-marxist Southerners, American citizens being burned out of their homes.
