This is a test for President Trump, and one he has to pass. Put troops on the border to stop them. If they get in the US, rogue judges will let them stay. And President Trump will own the invasion of the US.

I agree it’s a test, but a test for congress, not Trump. He’s putting the issue squarely at their feet, just as he did with DACA.

When congress fails to act, Trump will be justified in acting on his own.

He will own it for sure, but only because congress refused to own it themselves.

When I stated as much yesterday on this issue on another thread, I was harshly rebuked by numerous Trumpers who howled at my mention of this prospect.
