Jill McCabe: The president attacked my reputation. Its time to set the record straight.
By Jill McCabe April 2 at 7:18 PM
Jill McCabe, an emergency room pediatrician, is married to former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe.
I am an emergency room pediatrician and an accidental politician someone who never thought much about politics until I was recruited to run for state office after making a statement about the importance of expanding Medicaid. That decision plus some twisted reporting and presidential tweets ended up costing my husband, Andrew, his job and our family a significant portion of his pension my husband had worked hard for over 21 years of federal service. For the past year and a half of this nightmare, I have not been free to speak out about what happened. Now that Andrew has been fired, I am.
Andrew and I met as sophomores in college, at Duke University. He was interested in law (eventually law enforcement), I in medicine (eventually pediatrics). Andrews a reliable Republican; I have voted, over time, for both Republicans and Democrats.
As we have raised our children, I tried to vote more regularly and pay more attention to the issues that affect our community. And with my work in a hospital emergency room in Virginia, I saw the impact of how government decisions hurt my patients, especially when the state decided not to accept the federal governments funding to expand Medicaid.

So the only reason she ran was to get the excess campaign contributions. Seems like graft to me.
Oh my, yet another whiner.
Is it true that she bought hubby a Porsche with campaign funds that were “left over?”
Return the dough and sell your husband’s Porsche.
Trump did nothing. They brought this on themselves. Why are their illegal actions Trumps fault
Coming next week in the WP: a column by McCabe’s cat blaming Trump for siccing dogs on her.
Well stated. Sniff.
McCabe, for the abuse of trust and power your husband has engaged in, my biggest concern is that he will not receive the punishment he richly deserves.
That punishment would involve decades of prison time.
YOU POS. YOUR HUSBAND WAS ALL TOO WILLING TO RAILROAD AN INNOCENT MAN, A REAL PATRIOT (GEN. MICHAEL FLYNN)AND DO IT FOR POLITICAL GAIN AND POWER.
Your husband should rot in prison for what he tried to do to an innocent man.
For a doctor you’re certainly not the sharpest scalpel in the OR are you, Jill?
Crimea River.
Where’s the Leave Andy Alone girl/pic???
Set the record straight? Like the money you received for your spectacularly failed campaign? Your husband’s connections that help secure it, funds and arrangements that were not properly disclosed, likely even corrupt and illegal?
This is all about tainting a future jury pool.
She’ll have a completely different story under oath.
If only the WAPO would give this much space to every conservative that THEYVE smeared.
Democrats have been aping the phrase "to set the record straight" since 2004, when it headlined the efforts of an ad hoc coalition of veterans and conservatives to expose John Kerry's vicious slander of American troops in Vietnam, ending his presidential aspirations.
There have also been a number of leftist-sponsored efforts featuring the word "truth" (as in "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth). The recent movie "Truth," which tried unsuccessfully to restore the reputations of CBS News fabulists Dan Rather and Mary Mapes, is just one example.
The WaPo is happy to defend anyone trying to take out Trump.
Oh boohoo, what she’s really sorry about is the fact that she and her dirty cop husband got caught red-handed. I’m enjoying the schadenfreude.
BUMP
