Veritable shithole.
Do porta-potties exist in India ? They need them ....
It used to amaze me how when traveling long distance by train , and observing out the windows at dawn you would see legions of people heading towards the railroad tracks ( mostly males) with their little water pots , to take a crap at the rails edge . No shame . Why do they do this ? Millions....
Anything that moves the human feces and corpses faster has to be a good thing.
They crap in the water pots? Why not just crap on the ground like when camping in wild country. Actually we used to dig a small hole crap in it and then cover it back up. Then I thought to roll big rocks out of the ground crap in the hole and put the rock back. In Arizona I did this and rolled back a rock and was staring face to face with a Gila Monster. I rolled the rock back.
no, they use the water pot to use th3e water ‘ to wipe with’ because they no more toilet paper . No latrine slit trenches , no more small shovels in hand , just crap on the ground and go on their way. But why head for the railroad tracks ? Why walk from the little villages out to the nearest roadway and go there ? It is some of the most bizarre psychology I have ever witnessed anywhere in the world . I found myself think “ These people have the bomb!???”
Gila monster huh? Munch! Maybe the rural ( and urban) Indians are worried about cobras lurking anywhere but along the public path way ? You really have to watch where you step when you go for a walk over there . Would any India origin person care to respond ?
And their Muslim neighbor to the north west who wipe with their left hand also have the bomb.
I camped most of the winter of 75 in southern Arizona. It was my On The Road adventure year. Left the desert in Arizona in May, when it got to be 110 during the day and the snakes were well out of hibernation and in force.
