Sounds encouraging, but so did Trump’s 2015 campaign promise to “end DACA immediately.”
As I keep pointing out, Trump could have ended DACA at any time with a two sentence Executive Order...
“According to the exact language in the Immigration Act of 1965, the DACA kids are unlawfully present in the USA. Therefore, I order the Secretary of Homeland Security to remove them.”
No federal court in America could even review an Executive Order that explicit.

No federal court in America could even review an Executive Order that explicit.
He’s been pretty mean to the people he brought to the White House with him. And they can’t do anything about it. But I think he’ll discover that yanking the base’s chain will cause enough people to peel off and just not vote. And he’ll find out just how dire the consequences are when he’s on the wrong end of an impeachment vote, several months after the November elections.

Please provide a supporting link. I recall that Trump always held the DACA group separately, saying it was a tough situation and something creative needed to be done for it. So I would be interested in seeing that 2015 promise.
