Twenty years ago we were camping in northern CA and we went into town to get groceries and I was intrigued by the large Reagan poster on the wall behind the checkout line.
"Big Ronald Reagan fans, huh?" I said.
"How could we ever forget him?" she said."
While on a wine tasting trip around the Sierra's and Lodi, CA, we were told the best sausages around could be found at a place called Lockeford Meats. Turns out, the owners are unabashedly conservative.
They had a roll of Nancy Pelosi toilet paper in a display case next to the cash register. I couldn't stop smiling.
