Conservatives fume after Sessions declines to appoint new special counsel

Conservative are boiling with anger at Attorney General Jeff Sessions for declining to appoint a second special counsel to investigate alleged abuses at the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ).

In a Thursday letter to senior GOP lawmakers in the House and Senate, Sessions explained that he had appointed John Huber, a U.S. attorney from Utah who was first appointed by former President Obama, to work with DOJ’s inspector general to determine whether a second special counsel is necessary.

While Sessions says he will accept Huber’s recommendation on whether to appoint a second special counsel, the attorney general set a high bar for an independent investigation, saying it would require “extraordinary circumstances.”

Conservatives are apoplectic, believing there is more than enough evidence of wrongdoing at the FBI and widespread conflicts of interest within the DOJ to justify an outside prosecutor.

someone needs to strangle the keebler Elf, the puke is hopeless

I don't know if Sessions is just silly like the Keebler Elf or something more sinister like Gollum/Smeagol.

Trust me on this.

Trust EEE.

Trust Q.

Trust SunPants.

Trust Rosenstein.

Trust Rosenstein's Bogus FISA Application to spy on Team Trump.

Trust Rosenstein who along with Andrew McCabe, whitewashed the 2015 Uranium One investigation.

‘With Sessions as their step n fetch-it leprechaun, they found the pot of gold.”

YES!!! It was “instantaneous” the Sessions “recused himself.” And I am left believing that all of it was intentional, including this “tap dance” he’s doing now with Huber and the IG. It smells strongly of a coverup in progress. I really hope I am wrong, but with each passing day, the Deep State folks are running out the clock on the President, and the country.

The reason why Sessions didn’t appoint a 2nd special counsel is because he’s working for the corrupt state. His job is to cover their asses and bring down the Trump presidency.

I wouldn’t trust that d!ckless leprechaun with the appointment choice anyways. Trump should appoint one. A very very large special counsel to investigate the systemic corruption of our out of control stasi state.

I’d kiss Sessions a$$ in public and give him a half an hour to draw a crowd if he EVER does anything about the corruption in the DOJ/FBI Cabal. But right now, I’d say my lips are safe!

Obama Appointee Huber has an obvious conflict of interest.

He’s investigating his old boss in Lynch. Lynch appointed him to panels, gave him awards, and sang his praises.

This is a not so well hidden - Fix is in.

The Dems are laughing their fool heads off.

Ok, you got my attention. Explain because most here want that ass clown hanging by the noose..

You really thought that Trump was going to select his people to investigate him?

You obviously don't know Trump and how mind-blowingly politically astute he is.

What better way to hang the opposition by their own rope then to let them do the investigating?

Rosenstein, Mueller, Huber, and even the IG Horowitze are ALL Obama peeps...

Rosenstein, IMO, has flipped and became a white hat. Horowitz is impartial and dedicated to his job and him being appointed by Obama is irrelevant. I don't know enough about Huber. We all know about Mueller.

“...However, United States Attorney General Jeff Sessions subsequently appointed Huber as interim U.S. Attorney under the Federal Vacancies Reform Act.”

Sessions lined up his crooked ducks early!.

rig, restrict, and delay the investigation. Grant immunity to guilty people. It all comes together. How many immunities did Obama give during the hillary investigation.

>>You keep waiting for the “truth” to come out in December, January, March, “April” or “May”.

I think it started being in March with the OIG report due.

I don't mean to be offensive, but that is ignoring the obvious

Again -

Trump knew already that Obama was wire-tapping him, per Adm. Rogers visiting him and telling him
Trump is too shrewd to have HIS PEOPLE (or Republican/conservative SC) investigate him
Trump knew he did not conspire with Russia --- so the smart thing is to let the Left cop a feel and do the investigating, while they strangle themselves

Sessions recusal is a head-fake. If Trump wanted him gone he'd be back in Alabama. Sessions even offered his resignation to Trump and Trump refused.

Nope. I definitely remember having to wait until January, and I believe there was one month before that.

Rosenstein posts here on the FR under several different identities. They aren’t difficult to spot.

.

It reminds me of the people that thought Comey and company were going to flip Cheryl Mills and Huma, and indictments were on the way.

This isn’t even hard to figure out.

Huber is looking out for his bosses.

I believe all of the US attorneys including Huber are direct reports to the DAG, Rosenstein.

In fact, everybody in the FBI and the DOJ reports up the chain of command to Rosenstein except the AG. That would include Huber and all of the others in the FBI and DOJ people who are now assigned to investigate Uranium One and the Bogus FISA application . Even if during those investigations, those folks report directly to Sessions, their future work, job performance reviews, and promotions would still answer up the chain to Rod Rosenstein.

That's why Rosenstein desperately didn't want Nunes to release the Nunes report. It shows the absurdity of Rosenstein being the DAG and acting AG.

Sessions recusal is a head-fake.

Sessions recusal was said under oath, in front of the Senate. Was Sessions lying under oath to the Senate?

He recused himself from the 2016 campaign aspects of Mueller's faux investigation. What you said doesn't correlate to what Sessions is actually doing, behind the scenes, where he's hauling ass. Which many of you mean-old FReepers don't know and don't know what the Hell you're talking about.

Now where's my Sessions-in-Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies Photoshop?
