A judge sentenced a Rendon woman to five years in prison Wednesday for voting illegally in the 2016 presidential election while she was on supervised release from a 2011 fraud conviction.
Crystal Mason, 43, waived her right to a jury trial and chose to have state District Judge Ruben Gonzalez assess her sentence.
J. Warren St. John, her defense attorney, said after the verdict was rendered that an appeal had already been filed and he is hopeful his client will soon be released on bond.
"I find it amazing that the government feels she made this up," St. John told the court. "She was never told that she couldn't vote, and she voted in good faith. Why would she risk going back to prison for something that is not going to change her life?"

US citizen? If she voted Democrat there wouldn’t be this problem; illegals vote Democrat many times per individual.
The Judge’s last name tells me shot is a republican.

Tarrant County Texas Is the scene of massive vote fraud. There are videos on youtube that document it. Democrat Voter groups create fake voter registrations and then use them to vote in elections.

James Comey got on nationwide TV and stated that IT IS a defense.
That is an item that needs to be addressed in each states judicial proceedings.
If a person is convicted and it denies the right to vote then the Court
needs to send a notice to the registrar where that person is registered.
A lot times it wouldn’t be more than walking a copy down the hall to the
Registrars office.

What a waste of prison space. Why can’t we use it for real crimes like the ones that Hitlery and the assorted swamp creatures.
The only time the state wants to get tough on crime is when it’s against the little people. Just look at that Submariner that took a few pics of his sub.
Meanwhile, we have a gigantic conspiracy to take down Trump. Hitlery did outright fraud to beat Bernie the commie. There were a lot of funky machines flipping votes in the Dem primary and general. That’s a lot worse than one stinkin vote in TX.
The US has the highest prison rate in the world. Let’s save the space for the swamp creatures.
