If there is no Hell then why did Jesus got there except to free up the dead and take them to Paradise to join the penitent thief? He could have gone anytime. Jesus death atoned for sins and thus his timing was appropriate to remove Adam’s curse.
If those that have died are already in ‘Heaven’, why is there a need for a ‘Resurrection’ when He returns?...........
I was just thinking the same thing.
That wasn’t Hell, it was Sheol, ie “the Grave”. Nobody could be in Hell yet, there’s been no Judgement.
