DAYTON, Ohio CVS Health is facing a federal lawsuit claiming the company unintentionally revealed the HIV status of up to 6,000 Ohio residents though a prescription mailing.
The Dayton Daily News reports the lawsuit filed last week claims a letter that had information about getting HIV prescriptions through a CVS program was sent to about 6,000 participants in the states HIV Drug Assistance Program between July and August 2017.

I'm torn here, since CVS is totally in the pocket of leftists. But if the left wants to eat their own, I'll pop some popcorn.

Let's understand what the HIV Left means by "HIV status." This does NOT mean whether or not you are HIV infected. It means that you
ARE HIV infected.
Who would possibly be upset about having it revealed that they are not HIV infected?
Actually, I and the vast majority of normals have no "HIV status." We have no HIV status just as a single person has no wife-beater status.

Haven't we been told repeatedly lately that being HIV positive is no big deal? We even had a sodomite news reader just tell the world that he is disease ridden and people fell all over themselves to coo about how "brave" he was to take it up the butt.
So why is this any worse then people finding out that you take an antacid?

I thought homosexuality was no longer a problem? Yeah, isn't that the truth. But if it IS somehow a problem, it's OUR fault, do you know.

I wonder how much HIPAA regulations has raised the cost of medical care and related insurance?

I wonder how much HIPAA regulations has raised the cost of medical care and related insurance? I know that it makes providers constantly walk on eggshells, which can't be cheap.
And I constantly have to give my date of birth to anyone medically related, as if it's now an extension of my name.

I’m not torn at all.
I simply don’t see the harm.
Looks like an attempt to grab some “deep-pocket” money.

I'm only "torn" because I value privacy.
funny how the powers that be only value, and enforce, privacy for deviants.

My state has a sex offender registry and the list is available on-line. I wouldn’t be concerned at all if there was an HIV/STD list available for search.
To: VietVet876
Amen. Such a list would probably save countless lives.

From a linked article in the Dayton Daily News:
"The three John Doe plaintiffs are HIV-positive men living in Delaware, Defiance and Gallia counties in Ohio. They are all clients of the Ohio HIV Drug Assistance Program, which contracted with CVS Caremark as its pharmacy benefit manager in March of 2017."
If WE are subsidizing these sodomites' disease, I think we have a right to know.

Excellent point:
“Sex offender” public list = GOOD
HIV public list = BAD
The thing about liberals is it is so damn hard to keep a scorecard because the rules of the game change minute by minute.
Plus “sex offender”sweeps up people like the guy taking a leak outdoors.

True.
This whole thing smacks of the "not wanting to offend someone" philosophy.

These laws really became front & center when the AIDS epidemic started, because despite insistence to the contrary, it is primarily a homosexual disease in the West.
