Trump Throws Support Behind Orange County In Its War Against The California Sanctuary Law
CNBC ^ | March 28, 2018

President Donald Trump on Wednesday ratcheted up the pressure against a California law aimed at protecting undocumented immigrants by giving a shoutout to the state's third-most populous county after it pushed back on the controversial policies.

"My Administration stands in solidarity with the brave citizens in Orange County defending their rights against California's illegal and unconstitutional Sanctuary policies," Trump tweeted.

He added that laws on the books let California "release known dangerous criminals into communities across the State. All citizens have the right to be protected by Federal law and strong borders."

The president's broadside follows the all-Republican board of supervisors for Orange County — home to about 3 million residents and Disneyland — voting 4-0 on Tuesday to direct the county counsel to join the U.S. attorney general's sanctuary lawsuit against California.

I hope more join with them. I know the state is mostly democrat but I can remember when it was republican. They had the best infrastructure in the country.

Moonbeam and the California democrats are overplaying their hands.
They will cause the Supreme Court to knock down sanctuary states and cities.

It’s not stupidity. It’s outright treason. Brown and Becerra should be arrested and sent to prison without bail.

As one who has not always agreed w the our President's choice of words or timing in his tweets, I applaud, admire, and stand with President Trump in the following...

Bravo, Mister President!

Oh, and Build The Wall! (BTW)

Yep could well happen.

This is too funny. California is rebelling against the federal government in dealing with illegals. But a county within California is rebelling against the state rebellion against federal oversight of immigration matters.

I heard a poll in California showing 70% in California were against the sanctuary state laws. Californian is liberal, but clearly many in California think declaring the state a sanctuary state is taking things way too far.

Little by little you can feel the beginning of an uprising against the leftist tyranny. I think the people of California may finally be waking up and asking themselves what the f**k is happening to their state. I hope it’s not too late for them, but finally there is some resistance in the Golden State to the Democrat overlords running it into the ground!

Strip sanctuary cities of all federal funding.

Ha! Go on YouTube and watch videos of people explaining why they left CA. They got harassed for the cars they drove, or putting their groceries in plastic bags. People snitching to local authorities on them if they put a can in a garbage bag full of trash, for example.

But you're missing another point. CA is to Mexico what NK is to China. CA is a proxy state of Mexico. Human Events had a wonderful article about Reconquista. That is what's happening in CA and Brown, Baccera, or Newson work for Mexico, not the U.S. or to the citizens of CA.

Heard on the radio today that San Diego County plans to vote on this in mid-April, looking to join against the state. If that happens, it adds a county on the border.

A few observations as a CA resident:

1) I know many, many, MANY people who are fed up with this BS, and voted accordingly.

2) Let’s not forget that CA voted against same-sex marriage. The voters spoke, but some judge overrode that vote.

3) Look up Proposition 187 years ago. Same thing, CA voters voted it down, but an activist judge overrode that.

Yes, we have our fair share of idiots, BUT majority/sane votes really don’t count here oftentimes.

May law, the courts and justice break in her favor. And kudos to her for taking what has to be a difficult position considering powerful people aligned against her. And I do support ICE and deporting criminals. CA doesn't have a leg to stand on legally. Heard a good analysis today, can't remember by whom, but Obama sued Joe Arpaio for enforcing a state law over federal law. The court then decided in favor of Obama or federal law which should set a precedent. But you never know with our corrupt judges any more.

OT but they've cut off Julian Assange again for supporting the Catalonian separatists. I know he's done a lot of wrong things, but he's done a great service in the interest of truth which otherwise would probably never have come to light in this life at least.

P.S. To add to my last post:

I think it was Laura Ingraham who asked that SF supervisor guy tonight about the Orange County Sheriff: “So an American Sheriff should be arrested for enforcing the law in order to release illegal criminals?” I’d say that was a BOOM.

No question in my mind, the problem with California is its “leaders” who are almost all questionable in my opinion and find judges to override the will of the people. There are still those of us who aren’t fruity/nutty/commie/etc.

Anyone who pledged to enforce American law, swore an oath to our Constitution, who is pro sanctuary/amnesty should be arrested and their assets seized.

Exactly! What i’ve never understood is how these activist judges have the RIGHT to eliminate the voters’ decision.
