Roseanne made a triumphant return last night, blowing past projections with a 5.2 adults 18-49 rating and 18.2 million total viewers for the debut of its revival, which drew 10% more viewers than the original series finale 21 years ago.
While nostalgia was expected to bring in eyeballs, no one predicted such a huge turnout on premiere night for the blue-collar family sitcom with a Donald Trump-supporting protagonist, especially among the younger demographic. But then, few also predicted that Trump would become the Republican nominee and would win the Presidential election when he first announced his candidacy.

Yeah, they soul searched after Mel Gibson released the record-smashing Passion of the Christ, too, but they still couldn’t figure out how to capitalize on the Christian message.
They will conclude that Rosanne is a slob and Trump supporters must be slobs as well. They will crank out slob shows.

I’ve heard that the Passion of the Christ was one of the biggest grossing movies of all time.
And I’ve heard lots of people say, Hollywood will make movies and TV shows which sell, and that Hollywood is not really trying to push liberalism.
How’s the new homosexual themed movie, “Love Simon” doing at the box office?
I wish people would at least be honest enough to admit, that a movie such as Love Simon, or Brokeback, would simply not have been made decades ago.

The left side of the market is saturated with programmng choices, while the shelves are bare on the right side. A quality show, with a rightward tilt, has few competitors.
I believe the Passion still holds the record for largest grossing R-rated film of all time. Rated R because of the graphic violence in His scourging and crucifixion.

Damn, I forgot about this premiering last night. I’ll have to watch it on FiOS On Demand after I watch the premier of the final season of The Americans tonight.
The day Trump announced (April something, I didn’t click the article) I told EVERYBODY that He would be our next president. I even put money on it...no takers, but nobody believed me.
