CNN host Alisyn Camerota on Wednesday confronted the author of "God and Donald Trump," questioning how he can continue to back President Trump amid reports of extramarital affairs.
"In order to receive forgiveness, don't you have to confess to your sins?" Camerota asked Stephen Strang, the founder of Charisma Magazine. "Isn't that a tenant of the Bible? I mean don't you have to own up to these things? You know, Donald Trump famously said he's never asked God for forgiveness."
Strang said that issue is between Trump and God, adding that he focuses on Trump's policies.
"He supports the kinds of policies that we think are important," Strang said, noting Trump has become a "champion" of religious rights.
Camerota shot back: "Isn't that a little bit like saying, 'Gosh, I really like Harvey Weinstein's movies, so I'm going to overlook what I know to be true about Harvey Weinstein and I'm going to support him and give him money for his movies?'"

This is Saul Alinskys' "Rules for Radicals" #4:
The left uses this technique to guilt, shame, and mock Christians to live up to impossible standards.
Don't fall for it anymore.
A sinner will be judged by a Higher Power than you and them.
Do not let them force you to condemn and throw stones.
A tenantof the Bible?
Did she actually say that, or did some moron simply write it that way?
Bill Clinton is a rapist.
When the CNN cucknuggets care half as much about that as they do about this manufactured outrage, I may give a damn.
The damn I will give, however, will only be able to be measured in barely an angstrom on my giveadamnometer.
And even then, I’d vote for Trump, because at least Trump isn’t going to try to force me to violate my faith like the CNN cucknuggets want to.
She said it and there is a video at the link.
“”Isn’t that a little bit like saying, ‘Gosh, I really like Harvey Weinstein’s movies, so I’m going to overlook what I know to be true about Harvey Weinstein and I’m going to support him and give him money for his movies?’” “
You tell me since you all knew about it. “Open secret” and all that.
Occupation? Dweller? Why didn’t the person ask her how she defines the word?
At least she has removed any doubts I may have had about the depth and breadth of her stupidity.
This woman is pretty obnoxious.
Leftists can’t believe they sacrificed Harvey to the ‘me too’ movement without it affecting President Trump in the least.
Which Im sure is one of many reasons I am seldom interviewed on television...
God asks us to love Him and to do what is right.
He has never asked us to be perfect; just to be the best we can be.
She was stupid as a bag of hammers on FnF, and even stupider now. STFU, Camerota, you dolt.
Simple reply: When Trump is up for election as Pope, then we can talk about that.
Trump is like the rest of us, there’s always room to improve. Very encouraging when it shows.
Tenets live in rental housing; tenants are principles found in the Bible. The world according to CNN. /s
I haven’t watched her since she left Fox. Does she still have that annoying habit of mooning at the camera for the day’s “Glamour Shot”?
Trump is like the rest of us, theres always room to improve. Very encouraging when it shows.
I like how you think. He is going to need at least 7 more years.
The question and my answer wouldn't air.
When pressed further by Ms. Camerota I would shut her down by saying, 'It would appear you hold me to higher standards than you appear to hold yourself.'
'This interview is over'.
Get up. Disconnect microphone. Walk out.
The secret is, Josh, it takes a lifetime. At 81, I hope I don’t run out of time. So little time, so many dumb-a** mistakes to avoid . . .
