Turkish lira weakens beyond 4 against dollar as economy worries weigh

Turkey’s lira weakened beyond the psychologically important level of 4.0 to the US dollar yesterday, bringing it close to a record low, as concerns about double-digit inflation, and politics, continued to weigh on sentiment.

It was 1.29 to the dollar in 2005.

But Turks are used to raging inflation: (from Wiki)

It is about an oil pipeline deals. He will be paid well to allow this.

And he is punishing the US and Kurds for getting in the way.

And Iran and Turkey want US out of Syria.

But that has consequences, Israel and SA are with us on this. And many other nations in the Coalition.
