The good news for President Donald Trump? His approval rating is up 7 points since last month, according to a new poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.
The bad news? That only lifts Trump’s approval to 42 percent, low for a president at this point in his tenure.
Still, the trajectory is a welcome shift for a White House that has been battered by chaos, controversies and internal upheaval. The poll suggests that at least some of the president’s improving standing is tied to the economy and the Republican tax overhaul, which offers a glimmer of hope for GOP lawmakers who plan to make both issues the centerpiece of their efforts to maintain control of Congress in November.
Nearly half of Americans surveyed — 47 percent — say they approve of how Trump is handling the economy, his highest rating on any issue. When it comes to tax policy, 46 percent of Americans back Trump’s moves. …

People have figured out they have nothing that can really damage Trump and the old saw is still true - you can’t beat something with nothing. When no one cares you know they are like a bear that sh*ts in the woods.
The President’s approval rating would be a lot higher with a fair and balanced media but he’s happy with the way things are going no matter what his enemies seek to do to thwart him.
Judging by some threads he is not that high on FR.
As the leftist media continues its death spiral, Trump will pass them on his way up.
Corrupt liberal media can’t destroy trump, they didn’t create him.
On the other hand, the Kenyan Obama would collapse like a house of cards given this media scrutiny / trash.
This is really telling us that Trump’s approval numbers went up 7/34 or 20% in a month.
The job of being president of The United States isn’t a popularity contest. It’s about preserving, protecting and defending The Constitution of The United States and seeing to the interests of the American people.
