It makes the German reunification look like a Sunday walk in the park.

I think Korea would be a very good target, for reunification.
Actally no....Kim wants International recognition and he got the full welcome treatment with China...expect S. Korea to do similar I suspect. For Asian it’s all about saving face thus the welcoming receptions.
I expect this was one of Kims conditions.
None of the photos I’ve seen do any look happy....I doubt any have enjoyed rolling out the red carpet for FatBoy but likely his condition to work with China to save face among his people to ‘Look like” he was greatly honored”.....he doesn’t care what the rest of the world thinks as long as he can continue to “look like” a great leader to his own.
Fat Boy will still retain power.....and continue to “look like’ he wants unification to his people. Everything about this trip is for Fat Boy to show his people the great reception he got as a leader..just more of the same propaganda photos to use to keep the people believing the lie and twisting the mind of his people.

NK is certainly in need of a clown. Too bad Bozo died. He could have traveled over and made good money in giving hem lessons on how to smile on occasion.
I think, for NK, they want to exploit conflict between U.S. and China which is on-going on many issues, getting the best deal out of it.
However, NK may be asked to give up more than it is willing to. That could be a major sticking point.
Xi and Kim did not look upbeat while together. Kim stayed only a day in Beijing. It could be an indication that things did not go smoothly. On the other hand, Kim could have been mindful of what would happen if he is away from Pyongyang for too long.
