BALDWIN COUNTY, AL - The man accused of killing a Daphne woman with his truck Sunday is an illegal immigrant, and according to law enforcement sources, has been deported twice.
Jose Luis Alonso-De Leon was in a Baldwin County courtroom Monday afternoon on a number of charges including manslaughter. Investigators said he hit and killed 48-year-old Amy Hawkins while she was riding her bike on County Road 13 in Fairhope. Alonso-De Leon left the scene and was arrested by Fairhope Police at the Baldwin Square Shopping Center on Greeno Road.
According to investigators, Alonso-De Leon was drunk and had a stolen gun in his vehicle.
Prosecutors said they have their hands full trying to figure out the suspect's criminal background because he has used a lot of different names.
"We have him listed under seven different aliases," said Baldwin County Assistant District Attorney Teresa Heinz."It will be a long process for us to go through each and every one of those aliases. We're going to have to rely a lot on fingerprints and prior photographs taken during the booking process in a variety of different jails."
Alonso-De Leon is being held on a $500,000 bond.
Ping!...................
For an illegal, isn't that seven more felonies right there?
We ride our motorcycles thru there a lot......................

Sentence him to the max on each identity. Surely that is not double jeopardy!
Shoot em
They should have voted for Judge Moore.
...but 6 more EBT cards also...
"Undocumented"? - - Liberals make it sound like a clerical error... rather than a plan for control... and takeover.
He was just hit-and-running the citizens Americans refuse to hit-and-run...
Her family needs to sue the shi* out of the state gov’t...it’s THEIR job (for which we pay them) to protect us.
Firing Squad Now!
Deported twice? Just a young miscreant! Well, he’s committed a crime you can really be punished for this time. Hit and run with a fatality, stolen fire arm, and contempt for the law. If there’s any justice, he’ll draw the maximum sentence.
Dreamer?
My guess is a gang member...................
Capture, deport. Capture again, hang them
You probably already know, but Baldwin County is a farming area. They bring in Mexicans to work the fields. The farmers regularly claim in the local news that they can’t operate without the illegals. I always get a laugh when
I read “JOSE LUIS, ALONSO DE LEON, from Baldwin County”...
I would bet that there are very few Jose Luis Alonso De Leons who are natives of Baldwin County, Alabama. Also, it was just a coincidence that he had a stolen gun in his car when he was arrested. I’m sure he didn’t know it was stolen.
He can be both a gang member and a Dreamer.
Why did he get bond?
