A prominent Chicago defense attorney said Monday that he had declined an invitation to lead President Trumps legal team responding to special counsel Robert S. Mueller IIIs Russia investigation, underscoring the presidents difficulty in attracting top legal talent to represent him in the probe.
Dan K. Webb, a Republican, is a former U.S. attorney for Illinois and a corporate and white-collar-defense lawyer for the firm Winston and Strawn.

why doesn’t Trump just tell Muller to go f*** himself. Seems a lot simpler to me
Since when do lawyers talk about who may have asked them to represent them? Slimey. Looks like attorney improper behavior on it’s face.
That's not necessarily the case. The huge majority of lawyers are closet Marxists so working for Trump, the guy who's promised to drain the swamp, might harm a lawyer's career. Also,I've read that his determination to talk to Comey's good buddy is such a bad idea that a lawyer might not want to be involved in a potential train wreck.

Good suggestion
He seems to be in President Trump’s corner on this issue, and it would shut the leftist press the heck up. 8>)
Dershowitz has said he is firmly retired and will not consider it (He is nearly 80).
That’s a shame. He should come out of retirement and do it for the good of the country. 8>)

All the lawyers in the USA are wrong. At the end of the day, it must be a nefarious plot. President Trump is a lawyer’s dream.
Are there any attorneys or firms that have announced that they want to represent him?
No...it’s odd that they’d willingly miss this exciting opportunity to defend a man who is clearly innocent and so willing to listen to his lawyers.
Large firms have numerous conflicts.
