Not sure I would say fired but realize he was on the same jet with Lynch and Clinton at the Tarmac meeting. Interesting also as the Speaker of the House is 3rd in line for succession to the presidency if the Pres and Vice-Pres are gone. He may have broken a promise to Trump that he would behave and get things done and the bill was not it and he has been told his days are numbered as if you mess with the Bull you get the horns

There is a huge benefit to Scalise if this is not #FakeNews and if Scalise stays patriotic: He has what the shallow left sees as credibility in defending our individual right to keep and bear arms. He’s been shot (unlike most professional “victims” of the latest school shooting), and he still believes in individual freedom.

I Call B.S. Paul Ryan is the Hyman Roth of RINOs...the same “retirement” rumor for 2 years now.
Before he leaves, for historic reasons, would love someone ask him if he read the omnibus budget bill, and knew what was in it before he recommended its passage. Suspect he is guilty of gross incompetence and personally did not know what was really in that bill. IMHO that is the reason he is and should be resigning.
The day Trump can “fire” a speaker will be the day he becomes absolute dictator. Separation of powers is part of the Constitution, too. Senate run is most likely, imho.
In fact, if Scalise becomes Speaker, he ought to invite the guy to speak to Congress then cut him down to size. ("I'm living proof that guns SAVE lives. And why weren't you protesting when *I* got shot?")
Who's idea was it to put him forth as speaker? Remember all the drama around that — would he or wouldn't he? Eddie Muster played it real coy and cute. He should have been slapped down then.
