Whole shocking shtick of 'Sweet Jesus' is mocking Christianity

I think that's why He created hell.
I have no problem with this and I will embrace it just as believers before me embraced the EPITHET of ‘Christian’ and made it their own.
And here is what I will sing when I buy ice cream:
There’s a sweet, sweet Spirit in this place,
And I know that it’s the Spirit of the Lord;
There are sweet expressions on each face,
And I know they feel the presence of the Lord.
Chorus
Sweet Holy Spirit, Sweet heavenly Dove,
Stay right here with us, filling us with Your love.
And for these blessings we lift our hearts in praise;
Without a doubt we’ll know that we have been revived,
When we shall leave this place.
There are blessings you cannot receive
Till you know Him in His fullness and believe;
You’re the one to profit when you say,
“I am going to walk with Jesus all the way.”
If you say He saved you from your sin,
Now you’re weak, you’re bound and cannot enter in,
You can make it right if you will yield,
You’ll enjoy the Holy Spirit that we feel.
Wow. The company website, quoted in the link, says that the company employees have a wide range of religious beliefs. If it includes any Christians, I really think they need to think pretty hard about this.
What’s next...Tutti Fruti Mohammad?
90% of the people who walk by and see this will say nothing. A good part of the population will buy some ice cream here if they hear the buzz that it tastes good. Its sad but the reason that stores like this flourish is because there is cultural currency that comes from mocking Christianity and most Christians just don’t care. If Christians started caring, there would be no way that a consumer-driven place like Mall of America would let this store open.
Will there be a ‘Minty Mohammed’ flavor?
...and Burger King was forced to change the image of swirly, delicious soft-serve frozen desert because it looked somewhat like the arabic scrawl for allah.
They may have a wide range of beliefs, but the company uses blatant satanic and pedophilia imagery.
Did you read the article and view the pictures?
Could this be a hoax? If not, such a business would probably prosper in places like San Francisco, West Hollywood, and Boulder, Colo.
The entire business is hate speech and should be shut down. If we cant have Indian symbols on football teams then this surely crosses the line.
I saw the pictures. This has to be satire.
It doesn’t matter what they do. God is more powerful than they are and if we really want to make them change their ways then all we have to do is show up and hand out tracts and sing hymns.
At your prompting I looked. First thought was revulsion. 2nd thought was I hope they are covered under Trumps executive order.
I don’t care if they open stores here or not. Sure, it mocks religion, and I would never step foot in the store. And there are people who will think it’s funny and patronize them. In the end, everyone answers to God.
Another Ben & Jerry’s?......................
See the mighty host advancing, Satan leading on;
Mighty ones around us falling, courage almost gone!Hold the fort, for I am coming, Jesus signals still; Wave the answer back to Heaven, By Thy grace we will.
Fierce and long the battle rages, but our help is near;
Onward comes our great commander, cheer, my comrades, cheer!Hold the fort, for I am coming, Jesus signals still; Wave the answer back to Heaven, By Thy grace we will.
Phillip Paul Bliss, 1871)
“There are also Satanic symbols interspersed throughout the ads, such as upside-down crosses, lightning bolts, skulls, roaring wildcats, and images that suggest vampires and blood.”
I think we all understand that upside-down crosses are Satanic symbols, but I was not aware that lightning bolts and wildcats are also Satanic.
Does that also mean that the Los Angeles Chargers and Kentucky Wildcats are also Satanic?
