Schumer gets $30 billion for a tunnel that benefits very few and very few even know about and Trump gets $1.6 billion of $25 billion he needed for wall that benefits an entire nation.
Winning.
Schumer may, in fact, get only a sock in his mouth.
There are other threads on this forum over this weekend that argue Trump has authority over the money provided in the bill, if true that raises a number of questions, primarily:
1. Does Trump actually have such authority?
2. If so, will he use such authority to further his campaign promises? (My money says he will for the larger part, with some spent to purchase loyalty from wavering R's.)
3. Which of the R's knowingly participated in Trump's plan and voted to extract max funding from the D's?
4. Will Trump name those R's in order to rehab their credentials prior to the next election?
Unless Trump identifies McConnell as a key figure in the plan, the turtle's nonaction on federal judge appointments in return for the R "support" cements his ineffectiveness.
