I wonder if they take into account the cost to register a vehicle in this state.

My 2017 truck was $1,600 — for ONE YEAR. That’s a few orders of magnitude more than it would cost in parts of California. :(


Please tell me you're exaggerating. I'm pretty sure Kansas is the highest in the country, and we have a lot of Kansas residents who tag their vehicles in Colorado. I don't think even in Kansas does it cost that much. Of course I don't own late model cars in Kansas because I don't want to pay a fortune in registration/personal property tax.
