Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) declared victory on the omnibus spending bill Thursday, saying, Were able to accomplish more in the minority.
Schumer said, Its a funny thing. In a certain sense, were able to accomplish more in the minority than we were when we had the presidency or even were in the majority.
The Senate Minority Leader continued, At the end of the day, as the minority party, we feel good about being able to succeed in so many ways. We dont have the House, we dont have the Senate, we dont have the presidency, but we produced a darn good bill for the priorities we have believed in.
Sen. Schumer also touted the inclusion of the Gateway bridge project in the omnibus, as well as increased funding for the National Institute of Health (NIH).
House Freedom Caucus chairman Mark Meadows (R-NC) lamented in an interview with Breitbart News Daily on Tuesday that the Senate Democrats seem to be calling most of the shots.

I think upchuck the pedophile will not be laughing come Monday.
They aren’t in the minority, another dem lie.
What happens on Monday?
they will finally catch their breath and then laugh some more.
Hell, Obama accomplished plenty with a GOP congress too. They loved him, hate Trump.
Chuck Schumer’s makes the mistake of telling the truth every once in a while!
Trump signed that monstrosity. In so doing he lost 1/3 of his core support, lost an opportunity to redefine and vitalize the Republican Party with a crafted veto message and conceded the 2018 elections and probably the 2020 election to the vile Democrats. He is a huge, huge disappointment.
Schumer and Pelousi are trolling Trump.....and Trump will probably respond just the way they want him to..........neither Schumer nor Pelousi have a conscience.....it embarrasses me that any sane person in this country votes for any Dem.
Yes, Trump suckered them again. A big fat military budget. Enough for the Army Corps of Engineers to build the wall, and the Congress powerless to stop him. Brilliant.
Apparently from some other threads that's the day Trump stated construction of the "wall" would begin. And the day he would tell Schumer to "stuff" his little bridge project.
The cheaper the crook, the gaudier the patter.
> [Trump] lost an opportunity to redefine and vitalize the Republican Party with a crafted veto message <
Bingo! A strong veto message - focusing on the deficit - would have impressed many independent folks as well. This was truly a lost opportunity, especially with the 2018 elections coming up.
Pres. Trump made it clear that not only was he disappointed with it, but he will not sign another bill like the omnibus bill that corrupt Congress just gave him.
His core will be sore for a few days, but he’ll heal and be there.
what about Monday?
His core will be sore for a few days, but they will heal and be there for him.
