I’m pretty economically illiterate, and the takeaway I got from today’s stock market dump after the news of tariffs on China was, we have sold so much of our economy to our enemies, that it seems like the stock market acts according to what would be good for its owners and it ain’t us (the American people). That is one sorry state of affairs. That to invest in these companies (mostly American) isn’t even patriotic. You’re rooting for the country (ies) taking us over.
