I agree. I fear that high a defense budget only encourages neo-cons to push the failed nation building mess that has us enmeshed in no win conflicts. Vets and military families will probably still struggle to meet their needs.

The Republicans do not control the Senate. At best they have 51 votes when 60 are required.
The House sent up 12 appropriation bills and none were passed by the Senate making the current debacle necessary
The Republican party out of power in 2008 said, give us the House. Check.

Then the Republican party said, give us the presidency and we will fix everything. Check.

They don’t fear any of what you wrote because the voters will never give anyone else a chance. They’ll continue to send the same people back, again and again and again. When given the chance, the majority of voters will choose the incumbent. The same one that has been screwing them for years. We’re forced to vote for whoever the, Power Players, put out there. Look at what the Barbour’s and McConnell did in Mississippi. Cochran couldn’t find his way around the Capitol, he was so out there.
They put McConnell back and then elect his opponent to Governor. And if Schweizer’s book is, half true, McConnell and his wife should be in federal prison.
They send Graham and McCain back, again and again.
They send Flake back, again and again.
Paul Ryan has proven that he is nothing but a corporate whore, they had a chance to get rid of him. Nope. The people of that district must have it pretty darn good, to keep sending his corrupt ass back there.

I hope and pray that our President is bluffing when he said that he supports this disaster. I remember reading, he wouldn’t sign anything that had Schumer’s tunnel in it.
They’re so overt in their hatred for the man, it’s getting ridiculous. All they did with this bill, is bait him. He is far better at this game than anyone gives him credit for. You would think some of them would have learned by now.
I just hope and pray that he comes to his senses and gives them all the finger. Let them get in front of every microphone and talk about him. Then, when it reaches a fever pitch, have him get in front of the camera’s and take to Twitter, to expose every single disaster that is in this bill, who put it in there, why they put it in there, and why it’s a complete and total waste of money and disservice to the people.
All signs are pointing to a signature tomorrow.
I get numerous requests for money every day from Republican organizations. My donations stop until someone convinces me this is in the best interest of conservative voters.
