Something changed last weekend, did it not?
The firing of Andrew McCabe. The statement by Trump lawyer John Dowd to The Daily Beasts Betsy Woodruff that Robert Mueller should end his probe soon. Donald Trumps tweetstorm just after that, his first tweets mentioning Mueller by name along with promises by aides that more attacks are on the way. The amped-up speculation that Trump will fire Jeff Sessions and replace him with someone who hasnt recused himself so that someone can fire Mueller.
Somewhere in there also came an official reassurance by Trump lawyer Ty Cobb that the president has no plans to fire Mueller. Right. Thats about as reassuring as the NCAA promising that all that cheating is a thing of the past.
The temperatures rising. The New York Times Maggie Haberman reports that this president feels he really knows how to do this job now, and from here on in were going to see Trump unchained. So the Trump weve been seeing has been chained? God help us.
Where are we headed? If Trump fires Sessions and brings in whomever, and that person does fire Mueller, we will be in the midst of a major constitutional crisis. The standard line is the worst since Watergate. But this one is looking like it could be far worse than Watergate. Why?
Because in 1973, we had a Republican Party with some independent-minded lawmakers in it.

The dirty little secret is neither would the Democrats (in spite of what the RNC says).
The good news is that the left will pressure all their candidates to commit to impeachment, and that will be their demise.
Once Dim candidates have secured their funding for this cycles, watch the run hard and fast from that word.
Trump is no more impeachable than Obama was. He has a core, dedicated base of 62 million voters and NOBODY is going to p!ss them off.
It will be worse than Watergate . . .
for the Deep State and DemoKKKrats.
How the hell would firing a special prosecutor whose job is extra-constitutional at best be a constitutional crisis???
Dream on Daily Beast Commie Scum.
We can only hope that it is worse then water gate.
If its many Democrats and rhinos are going to fall.
worse for obama and the deep state!!!
Nice bit of propaganda from Tomasky.
They are so hoping. They’ll lie, misconstrue, be disingenuous, all that leftist stuff.
The Daily Beast let the animals out of the zoo to write the headline—clever!
Sweet!
Just more amped-up speculation from the Daily Beast. Is the Daily Beast named after Hillary?
[God help us]
Would that be the God you Democrats booed in Florida, Daily Beast?
Would that be the God Whose city Jerusalem (as capital of Israel) you booed in Florida, Daily Beast?
Would that be the God you parade your gay marriage in front of, Daily Beast?
Would that be the God you murder babies in the womb, in front of, Daily Beast?
No, your “god” is the “god of this world” - Satan. That is who you are calling on.
This has stopped being and ‘investigation’ and is now harassment by the FBI and DOJ. If they were to do this with any other citizen, with no evidence or even indication of guilt, there would be a lawsuit. Where did the 4th amendment go?
Obama using Federal law enforcement apparatus to aid the corrupt candidate and harass the innocent one.
THAT is “worse than Watergate”
The Mueller investigation crossed the line in their treatment of General Flynn it is going to be Mueller’s downfall and the end of the investigation as we know it.
There are a few major differences. One, Nixon was a crook who fired folks as they got close to him. Trump has done nothing wrong. Two, while Nixon won a landslide, nobody really liked the guy.
We love Trump. We will defend Trump. We will die for Trump. Smoke that, libtards.
“If they were to do this with any other citizen, with no evidence or even indication of guilt”
Be glad they are not doing it to you. If they were, you would already be in prison.
No regular citizen could withstand a full assault by the FBI and DOJ.
Just give him a couple of weeks to present a reason to continue the investigation and include supporting evidence or the special counsel is terminated.
And next time make it a six month thing with option to continue if evidence warrants it. This thing should have been ended last year.
