During Bill Clinton's campaign the mantra among his sycophants was "I'm voting for a President NOT the Pope". It's repugnant, but he's far from the only pol who messed around, and it wasn't a major factor for me not voting for him. I got into friendly debate with a co-worker who voted for Slick Willie who said, as far as his messing around, as long as he keeps his pants up in the Oval Office, WHO CARES!" HA!
