They called it all conspiracy and that I had to die
So to close our mouths and kill our minds they hung us side by side

Well, the passage from the Bible, Esther 7:10, is about infamous Haman who wanted to destroy all the Jews who, at the time, lived in Babylon.

I read much more conservative commentary coming from Israeli sources but typically American Jewish publications are liberal biased.
