I’m thrilled to not be on Facebook.
It was fun in college, but pointless after college.

Yep,
The flaw in Facebook is when you put your heart and mind into political action, you take your mind off running your business.
Google is going to be next.

Odd.
The data harvesting wasn’t a “scandal” when Democrats did it.

I hate to break it to my liberal friends, but any time Zuck opens his mouth in a public setting, things tend to go south for Facebook, so hiding him is probably the smart move.

Everyone who posts anything on FB agrees that the material belongs to FB at that time. This is going nowhere. FB is trying to pretend that people’s security settings etc are really of much value.

There’s no “scandal” and neither FB nor Cambridge did a single thing wrong. They harvested data when no one paid attention to privacy. They weren’t alone. Obama did the same 4 years earlier, and Amazon, Google and others do so every single day.

I never liked social(ist) media. I never understood why people want to advertise themselves. I now understand why it always gave me the willies.
