Admirers of the late New Jersey Gov. Brendan Byrne recently congregated in Jersey City to honor one of his last wishes: to have his ashes placed in Hudson County so he could “stay active” in politics.

Byrne, a Democrat who died Jan. 4 at age 93, used to joke about the county, long known for its history of political shenanigans -- such as recruiting "voters" from local cemeteries.

It's not a joke. Many Democrats continue to vote after they are dead.

New Jersey is so corrupt that a statewide Republican has to win by at least seven percentage points just to overcome massive voter fraud in urban areas.

Absentee voting works for years after you’re dead and gone.

Many Democrats continue to vote after they are dead.

And many Republicans change parties the day they die.

The park was among the Hudson County waterfront improvements that Byrne -- a Democrat who served two terms after being elected in 1973 -- championed in the 1970s. He also oversaw the advent of casino gambling in Atlantic City and instituted the state's first income tax.

The Evil Bustard!

He should have been cremated before he was dead.

Having voted Democrat for decades, coupled with lack of real engagement in politics & what the Democrat Party had become (it wasn't the Democrat Party they had known), coupled with, in most cases, diminished mental ability, would explain that.

Heck, my father-in-law (91 at the time), a WWII & Korean veteran was going to vote for Hillary until my wife, his daughter, updated his knowledge about who & what Hillary Clinton really is, and what the Democrat Party had become.

He cast his vote for Donald J. Trump after getting information never discussed by the MSM. In other words, he was just doing his patriotic duty, but doing so uninformed & clueless. Instead just voting the party he had always voted for, thinking they were the still the party of the people as he had always viewed them as.

If not the day they die, then at least at some point in time afterwards. 8>)

I don’t think you read the article or understood the title. How many WWI vets are around?

You missed the sarcasm. The WWI vets are dead, and so voted by the democrat.

I was being sarcastic, since the last WWI veteran died in 2012 at age 110, while providing a real life scenario of a WWII veteran who was 91 at the time. 8>)

Not funny. Obama used to encourage multiple voting and illegal alien voting. Of course, it was "just joking".
