Gun walkouts in schools don't let students think for themselves
Fox News ^ | March 15, 2018 | John R. Lott, Jr.

Gun control is a contentious issue. It is one thing for a teacher to talk to his or her class about the issue, hopefully presenting both sides of the debate. But a rally on school property, featuring student speeches and attendance by school administrators and teachers, is something quite different.

With the left again taking aim at the Second Amendment, the two short videos at the links will make crystal clear WHY the Founders inserted it so prominently in the Bill of Rights.

The video - probably a 4th generation burn of a DVD - though sketchy, is viewable. But IT’S THE AUDIO THAT’S IMPORTANT and makes this one another candidate for a background listen while doing computer housekeeping.

It’s also a fun one to send to any leftist anti-gunners in your orbit. While it almost certainly won’t cause them to change course, it contains HISTORICALLY VERIFIABLE FACTS that will make them go berserk and possibly even burst into flames. Facts nearly always have that effect on them. So fire up a leftist/statist (but I repeat myself) and share it!

If the fact filled first video fails to move them, the second, by Dr. Hupp, MAY move even the most critical thought challenged leftist at that all important EMOTIONAL & “FEELINGS” level for which they are so well known.

The Childrun shall lead.

As long as they know there aren’t two sides to a story.

The goal of the progressive movement in education to teach group think instead of independent thinking started with progressive leader John Dewey’s book Democracy and Education in 1916. It has taken a long time appears that they have been largely successful.

The last thing the liberal Democrat academia wants is....children thinking for THEMSELVES.

Yep. They are told what to think and how. I had to cringe in embarrassment for the teens interviewed by the media yesterday. They were misled into thinking their walking out was solidarity. That the federal government could have prevented the crime. That more gun laws could have helped. That they are noble and good because they feel bad for the victims.

Indeed all teachers should present both sides or multiple sides of an issue. No matter what the teacher’s own belief.

I studied to be a teacher in college. This was twenty years ago. Not long after we were introduced to Dewey's agenda the discussion turned to school violence.

I suggested during class that qualified teachers should have access to a firearm or at least a taser.

Let's just say that it's a wonder they didn't bury my body in the desert later that night.
